LILIES, CANNAS, CALLAS & MORE If daisies and gladiolas are just too ordinary for you, then perhaps these bulbs might suit your fancy. Don't let their dramatic colors and lush foliage fool you, they are actually easy to grow. (These are shipped in the spring, from March to June) ORIENTAL LILIES CALLA LILIES CANNAS "and more" Oriental lilies are one of the most beautiful of all the lilies, and their fragrance permeates the garden air. These are the lilies that florists prefer for cut flowers. Blooming later in the season than most lilies, these exotic beauties are truly spectacular in color and flower size.
These California Callas will add a touch of class to any garden. The upright, cup-shaped trumpets are about 5" tall and 2 to 3" across. They thrive in full sun to partial shade, and are excellent for containers. These plants are hardy in zones 9 to 11, everywhere else the bulbs should be lifted in the fall for winter storage, or grown indoors.
Cannas, with their lush, tropical foliage and showy gladiolus-like flowers, make beds and borders come alive with their bright colors all summer long. These plants are hardy in zones 7 to 11, elsewhere you will have to dig up and store the rhizomes.
SPECIALTY BULBS Well, here is the "and more" part of this section. These effusive bloomers deserve a much better name as you will see. Generally these bulbs are not winter hardy unless listed. Dig in the fall and store in a frost-free area during winter. Caladium Freesia Ranunculus Sparaxis Trillium
