Perennial Ryegrass Blend (This is a blend of 3 to 4 of the top ranked Perennial Ryegrasses) Designed for high aesthetic appeal in maintained areas under a broad spectrum of environmental conditions. The fine-texture, dark green grasses form a dense turf. Blends well with most commercial sod. A mowing height of 2" is recommended, along with a minimum of 4 fertilizer applications per year. West Michigan Sun & Shade Lawn Mixture 30% Kentucky Bluegrass 30% Turf Gem II Tall Fescue Blend (This is a blend of 3 to 4 of the top ranked Tall Fescues) 40% V.I.P. Perennial Ryegrass Blend (This is a blend of 3 to 4 of the top ranked Perennial Ryegrasses) Versatile mixture that will establish quickly and perform well in both sun and shade. With three to four fertilizer applications per year, this will produce a turf of good color and density. This is the best selection when one product is to be used for a variety of sites and conditions. A mowing height of 2" is recommended. West Michigan Shade Lawn Mixture 40% Turf Gem II Tall Fescue Blend (This is a blend of 3 to 4 of the top ranked Tall Fescues) 10% Kentucky Bluegrass 10% POA Trivialis 40% V.I.P. Perennial Ryegrass Blend (This is a blend of 3 to 4 of the top ranked Perennial Ryegrasses) This mixture is formulated to provide a good quality lawn in moderate to dense shade, as well as in areas that are transitional from shade to light. Maximum performance will occur in areas with shade of less than 50% of the day. This mixture will perform well in damp areas, but excessive moisture should be avoided. Responds well to a medium intensity fertilizer program, and a mowing height of 2" is recommended. The fescue adds drought tolerance to this mixture. West Michigan Premium Sunny Lawn Mixture 70% True Blue Kentucky Bluegrass Blend (This is a blend of 3 of the top ranked Kentucky Bluegrasses) 30% V.I.P. Perennial Ryegrass Blend (This is a blend of 3 to 4 of the top ranked Perennial Ryegrasses) Superior combination of improved Kentucky Bluegrasses and improved perennial ryegrasses. It is designed for maximum aesthetic appeal in well maintained areas. The varieties are carefully selected for consistent color and growth habits for continued performance throughout the growing season. Intense color and density can be achieved with 4 to 5 fertilizer application per year. Athletic (Groundskeeper's) Lawn Mixture 60% V.I.P. Perennial Ryegrass Blend (This is a blend of 3 to 4 of the top ranked Perennial Ryegrasses) 40% True Blue Kentucky Bluegrass Blend (This is a blend of 3 of the top ranked Kentucky Bluegrasses) This produces a durable, premium turf with excellent tolerance to wear and divots, cleats, vehicles or a group of noisy 8 year olds. It establishes rapidly, which helps reduce the competition from emerging weeds. The improved cultivars used to make this a dark green color with good disease resistance. Excellent for over-seeding an established lawn. A mowing height of 1" to 2" is recommended. West Michigan Wear n' Tear Lawn Mixture 20% Kentucky Bluegrass 40% Turf Gem II Tall Fescue Blend (This is a blend of 3 to 4 of the top ranked Tall Fescues) 20% Perennial Ryegrass 20% Annual Ryegrass Economical mixture of turf grasses that produces a functional lawn requiring only minimal levels of maintenance. It produces a solid stand capable of withstanding traffic. In addition, it provides good ground cover in moist soils, in both sunny and shady areas. Also, its quick germination recommends this for slopes and other special situations. Mower heights should be maintained at 2" to 3" to maximize density, drought resistance and protection from weed encroachment. West Michigan Fast Grow Lawn Mixture 50% Perennial Ryegrass 20% Kentucky Bluegrass 15% Turf Gem II Tall Fescue Blend (This is a blend of 3 to 4 of the top ranked Tall Fescues) 15% Annual Ryegrass This forms a medium textured lawn of good shoot density and uniformity. Since it establishes so quickly, it is extensively used for over-seeding, and for erosion control. Perfect for those who want a low maintenance lawn quickly. A mowing height of 1" to 2" will decrease weed competition and provide good performance. West Michigan Contractors Lawn Mixture 50% Annual Ryegrass 35% Perennial Ryegrass 10% Turf Gem II Tall Fescue Blend (This is a blend of 3 to 4 of the top ranked Tall Fescues) 5% Kentucky Bluegrass An economical choice for a fast establishing, temporary turf. Great for slopes, hillsides or banks of ponds. Due to its rapid germination, it decreases weed competition. Also can be used as an inexpensive pasture mix. A low maintenance lawn that should be mowed at a height of 2". MDOT State Roadside Lawn Mixture 50% Perennial Ryegrass 35% Creeping Red Fescue 15% Kentucky Bluegrass Developed by the Michigan Department of Transportation for a low maintenance turf near areas of heavy traffic. Germinates quickly, so can also be used as erosion control. Keep mowing height at 2" to 3". MDOT Class A Municipal Lawn Mixture 40% Creeping Red Fescue 30% Kentucky Bluegrass 30% Perennial Ryegrass Developed by the Michigan Department of Transportation as a low maintenance, drought tolerant lawn mixture. Can be used where sprinkling is not an option, such as a large park or lawn area. Will germinate fairly rapidly, so can also be used for erosion control. Keep mowing height at 2" to 3".
