DAHLIAS

It is hard to imagine a perennial garden in August and September without the dazzling beauty and color of dahlias. With their soft petals and vibrant colors, dahlias add a burst of color and life to the late summer garden. Excellent as cut flowers, these spectacular bloomers will flower almost into October. Hardy in the south, elsewhere dig in fall and store in a frost-free area. (These are shipped in the spring, from March to June)

NOTE: We also carry the standard dinnerplate sized dahlias. These come packaged 1 bulb per bag. The varieties we will carry for Spring 2009 will be listed in February, 2009.

Variety	Picture	Description
Marble Ball		Giant ball dahlia. Pristine white petals heavily streaked with purple. Round shape, 4" across. Great for cut flowers. 40" plant.
Jescot Lingold		Giant ball dahlia. Flowers grow to 4" across. Dark red with yellow edges, these flowers with their sturdy stems make excellent cut flowers. 40" tall.
Tequila Sunrise		Bright yellow flowers pop against the dark green foliage. Center is tinged with rose-red. Flowers grow 6" to 8" across. plants stand 40" to 50" tall.
Osirium		Very decorative 4" flowers are dark purple, with streaks of purple and white. White center, round shape. plats grow 30" to 50" tall.
Boogie Woogie		giant, powder-puff dahlia. lilac petals with a fluffy yellow heart, accented with lilac tips. Flowers are 4" across. Very showy!
Pinwheel Dahlia Collection		Decorative dahlias in fuchsia, violet rose, lemon yellow and scarlet. All with white tips. Large, 6" to 8" flowers grow on 24" to 40" plants. Great for cut flowers.
