Cantaloupe

Cantaloupe, aka muskmelon, has the most beta- carotene of any of the fruits or vegetables. Christopher Columbus is credited with bringing this melon to the New World. How to chose a ripe melon ? Select a melon that is slightly golden in color with a light, fragrant smell.
