Cowpeas

Cowpeas are actually more closely related to mung beans than they are to peas. They were originally cultivated in the African continent. They are drought tolerant and thrive in warm weather. They grow in poor soils and are used for soil improvement, forage, as well as food.

Approximately 2,800 seeds per lb. 1/2 lb. is needed for a 100 foot row, 25 lb. per acre.
