Lima Beans

Lima beans need warm soil to germinate and grow, so do not be in a hurry to plant these in the early spring. Limas can be used fresh, frozen, canned or dried. Who knows; maybe fresh lima beans from the garden might just entice the pickiest of eaters to become a fan. 

Bush Lima Beans: Approximately 350 seeds per lb. 1 lb. is needed for a 100 ft. row, 50 to 70 lb. per acre.

Pole Lima Beans: Approximately 350 seeds per lb. 1/8 lb. is needed for a 100 foot row, 30 lb. per acre.
