Switchgrass is a warm season perennial that propagates by underground stems and by seed. Best in full sun, moist, deep, fertile soil. Grows 3' to 6' tall. Blades are green to bluish-green, 1/4" to 1/2" wide, 6" to 8" long. Has a "nestof hair" where the blades attach to the stem. Forms a dense cover. after established. Stiff stems stand upright during the winter months.

Sow 5 to 10 lb. per acre.
